Following the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, the US moved two aircraft carrier groups and several aircraft to the region. But these could be vulnerable to an attack from the Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah.
A video has been doing the rounds on social media, which the netizens have claimed shows Hezbollah, displaying its arsenal of anti-ship missiles.
Some netizens claimed that the missiles in the video looked similar to Iran's Noor projectiles.
A former Pakistan Army officer, named Abdul Rehman Tiwana underlined that Hezbollah's anti-ship missile fleet will deter the US, and Israel from launching a naval attack on Gaza from the Mediterranean Sea.
"Hezbollah has revealed its anti-ship missile inventory after the US flexes its naval muscles near the coasts of Gaza. After the failure of ground attack, naval attack also seems like a dream for US-Zionist nexus," Tiwana wrote as he shared the video of Hezbollah's alleged anti-ship missiles on the microblogging platform.
The buzz around Hezbollah's maritime capabilities comes days after Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah delivered a veiled threat to the US warships in the region during his first speech since the break out of the war between Hamas and Israel.

US Warships in the Mediterranean Sea

Washington sent two US Navy carrier groups, USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and USS Gerald R. Ford to Israel after Tel Aviv declared a state of war following the surprise Hamas attack on the Jewish state last month.
These warships have been widely believed to have been sent to deter Iran from having direct participation in the conflict between Israel and Hamas. But Hezbollah's speculated anti-ship missile stockpile could pose a serious threat to them.
