Created by an Indore-based startup, Pisarv Technologies, the ‘Nabh Rakshak’ is touted to be the world’s first artificial intelligence (AI) drone that can not only detect but also save people from drowning by dropping a life-saving jacket directly above them.Making a significant leap in water safety technology, ‘Nabh Rakshak’ carries a life jacket and also has an onboard computer that flies alongside it.As soon as a person is detected, the drone promptly triggers an alarm at the base station. The drone drops the life-saving jacket that ensures the safety of those drowning by allowing them to float comfortably in the water for up to an hour until rescue efforts arrive. The talks are on to deploy Nabh Rakshak in 52 beaches and water bodies in Goa, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The Indian Navy's Koraput base in Odisha has reportedly placed orders for Nabh Rakshak, which is scheduled to be installed in December.

Nabh Rakshak: New AI Drones to Rescue Drowning People in Indian Coastal Regions
The Indian coastal regions will soon get to see the deployment of a new innovation- the 'Nabh Rakshak' - an AI-powered drone designed to detect and save drowning people in bodies of water.
Created by an Indore-based startup, Pisarv Technologies, the ‘Nabh Rakshak’ is touted to be the world’s first artificial intelligence (AI) drone that can not only detect but also save people from drowning by dropping a life-saving jacket directly above them.
Making a significant leap in water safety technology,
‘Nabh Rakshak’ carries a
life jacket and also has an onboard computer that flies alongside it.
As soon as a person is detected, the drone promptly triggers an alarm at the base station.
The drone drops the life-saving jacket that ensures the safety of those drowning by allowing them to float comfortably in the water for up to an hour until rescue efforts arrive.
"This cutting-edge drone is equipped with onboard computer intelligence that makes real-time decisions. To add some extra excitement to the festival of lights, we decided to light up the sky with rockets using Nabhrakshak in a fully autonomous manner," Roshani Shukla, founder and chief product officer (CPO) at Pisarv Technologies, posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
The talks are on to deploy Nabh Rakshak in 52 beaches and water bodies in
Goa,
Gujarat,
Uttar Pradesh,
Madhya Pradesh, and
Uttarakhand.
The
Indian Navy's Koraput base in
Odisha has reportedly placed orders for Nabh Rakshak, which is scheduled to be installed in December.
