Imran Khan Set to Work Inside Jail: Report

The former Pakistan prime minister has been ordered to labor while serving his sentence in accordance with the jail manual.
Jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan and ex-Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi are being forced to work inside the compound, a media report has claimed.
The order comes despite them being deemed high-profile prisoners.
Khan, 71, and Qureshi, 67, are being kept separately in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, the report published in Express Tribune newspaper said.
They have also been given two sets of prison uniforms in accordance with the jail manual.
However, it’s not mandatory for Khan to wear the prison uniform.
Khan, who is currently serving a three-year jail term for alleged corruption, was sentenced to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment in Toshakhana case on January 31, 2024 a day after being given a 10-year jail term in the case of allegeldy leaking sensitive state secrets.
