Afghanistan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi on Wednesday urged countries of the world to have positive interactions with Kabul amid the hardline Islamic movement's push to achieve international recognition.Muttaqi stressed that the security situation in Afghanistan has improved considerably, and foreign powers should appreciate the Taliban for it.He also pointed out that governments across the globe have accepted the Taliban's control over Afghan territory and that's perhaps why they were no longer interested in strengthening its opponents in the country.It is worth noting that no country in the world has officially recognized the Taliban government so far.However, few sovereign states like China have established diplomatic ties with it, even appointing ambassadors to Kabul in recent weeks.*under UN sanctions

Afghanistan FM Reveals 'Good News' Amid International Recognition Push
18:50 13.03.2024 (Updated: 20:16 13.03.2024) Since the Taliban* stormed back to power in Kabul in August 2021, it has made efforts to gain international recognition without much success. A high-ranking official of the group made a similar plea this week.
Afghanistan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi on Wednesday urged countries of the world to have positive interactions with Kabul amid the hardline Islamic movement's push to achieve international recognition.
Muttaqi stressed that the security situation in Afghanistan
has improved considerably, and foreign powers should appreciate the Taliban for it.
"It was experienced that neither the big powers nor the domestic political parties were able to manage Afghanistan. The Islamic Emirate has controlled the situation and the whole world should appreciate this achievement," Muttaqi said in a media interaction in Kabul.
He also pointed out that governments across the globe have accepted the Taliban's control over Afghan territory and that's perhaps why they were no longer interested in strengthening its opponents in the country.
"I am happy today that no power in the world wants to strengthen the opponents, and this is good news for Afghanistan," he added.
It is worth noting that no country in the world has officially recognized the Taliban government so far.
However, few sovereign states like China have established diplomatic
ties with it, even appointing ambassadors to Kabul in recent weeks.
