Pakistan has expressed the desire to enhance bilateral cooperation with Russia in several areas, particularly in energy, trade and investment, Pakistan's Geo TV reported on Saturday.In a meeting with Ambassador of the Russian Federation Albert P Khorev, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stressed the need to enhance cooperation between the two countries, the news report said.The Pakistani leader also stressed the need to convene at an early date of the 9th session of the Inter-governmental Commission (IGC), which is to be hosted by Russia later in 2024.Fondly recalling his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Samarkand in 2022, Sharif reiterated his invitation to the Russian leader to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his earliest convenience.During the meeting the Russian ambassador also assured Sharif that Russia wanted to build stronger ties with Pakistan.He said Russia among other areas was keen to ramp up cooperation in education and culture.The Pakistani PM also expressed his condolences on the loss of lives in the terror attack on Crocus City Hall in Moscow, saying that Pakistan stood in solidarity with Russia during the difficult time.

During Saturday's meeting, Pakistan's Prime Minister reminded the Russian Ambassador about the invitation he had extended to Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit Islamabad way back in 2022.
Pakistan has expressed the desire to enhance bilateral cooperation with Russia in several areas, particularly in energy, trade and investment, Pakistan's Geo TV reported on Saturday.
In a meeting with Ambassador of the Russian Federation Albert P Khorev, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stressed the need to enhance cooperation between the two countries, the news report said.
Khorev met Shehbaz on Saturday. The Pakistan Prime Minister also urged Moscow to send a delegation to Islamabad to discuss ways to enhance trade and investment between the two.
The Pakistani leader also stressed the need to convene at an early date of the 9th session of
