“We [attacked] the Zionist regime in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter ('attack in self-defense') following the attack in Damascus. The issue is settled, but the Israeli regime may make another mistake, and Iran's reaction will be much harsher [in that case]. This is a conflict between Iran and the Israeli regime, the U.S. must keep a distance."

Iran had also warned Jordan and other nearby countries before attacking Israel, Fars reported, citing sources.

Flights in Tehran's airspace continued, Iran's Fars news agency reported.
Israel Defense Forces officially recognized the launch of the attack on Israel
US President Joe Biden was being informed of Iranian attack on Israel and will hold a meeting with the Secretaries of Defense and State, the Director of the CIA, and the National Security Advisor.
Iranian expert on international relations Emad Abshenas commented to Sputnik on the launch of Operation 'True Promise' against Israel:

"If the Security Council had done its duty and condemned and punished Israel, there would have been no need for Iran to take any action. Unless the United States seeks an even greater escalation in the region and sacrifices of its own for [Benjamin] Netanyahu's personal interests, it should stand aside and allow Iran to retaliate for the Damascus consulate attack and prevent Israel from attempting to expand the war in the region."
