Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged both Iran and Israel to exercise restraint following Iranian strikes on Israel on Sunday.Further, Islamabad expressed "deep concern" over the ongoing developments in the Middle-East.It recalled that Pakistan had already warned on 2 April that the attack on the Iranian Embassy's consular section in Damascus on 1 April represented a "major escalation in an already volatile region".According to Israel Defence Forces (IDF), a child has been injured in the strikes, which have also caused damage to a military base in southern Israel.The IDF has said that a majority of the strikes launched from Iran, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon as part of 'Operation True Promise' were intercepted outside Israel's territory by the air defence systems.

Pakistan Urges Iran & Israel to Show Restraint Amid Escalating Tensions
Tehran has said that 'Operation True Promise', involving retaliatory missile and drone strikes, against Israeli military targets in the country on Sunday has "concluded".
Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged both Iran and Israel to exercise restraint following Iranian strikes on Israel on Sunday.
"It is now critically urgent to stabilise the situation and restore peace. We call on all parties to exercise utmost restraint and move towards de-escalation," the ministry said in a statement.
Further, Islamabad expressed "deep concern" over the
ongoing developments in the Middle-East.
"For months, Pakistan has underlined the necessity of international efforts to prevent expansion of hostilities in the region and a ceasefire in Gaza," the foreign ministry release stated.
It recalled that Pakistan had already warned on 2 April that the attack on the Iranian Embassy's consular section in Damascus on 1 April represented a "major escalation in an already volatile region".
"Today's developments demonstrate the consequences of the breakdown of diplomacy. These also underline the grave implications in cases where the UN Security Council is unable to fulfil its responsibilities of maintaining international peace and security," the statement noted.
According to Israel Defence Forces (IDF), a child has been injured in the strikes, which have also caused damage to a military base in southern Israel.
