Anti-social elements in Canada have once again vandalised a Hindu temple in Edmonton. The BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir was vandalised by Khalistani separatists, according to the Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA).The CoHNA said that attentiobn to the incident was rised by Chandan Arya, Member of Parliament for Nepean, Ontario.Expressing concerns over frequent cases of violence against Hindus in Canada, Arya said in a post on X that over the last few years, temples in Greater Toronto Area, British Columbia and other places in Canada are being vandalized with hateful graffiti. The expert further added that he has always been saying that Khalistani extremists seem to get away easily with their public rhetoric of hate and violence. He urged Canadian authorities to the issue seriously, "before the retoric gets translated into physical action" against the Hindu community. The CoHNA said that attacks on places of worship, against individuals and organisations who speak up against Hinduphobia in Canada, have made the community extremely concerned about their safety. The latest attack on a Hindu temple in Canada mirrors similar incidents, which happened last year. In 2023, a place of worship in Windsor was defaced with anti-India graffiti, sparking widespread condemnation and calls for action from both Canadian and Indian officials. Similar incidents were reported in Mississauga and Brampton.

Hinduphobia in Canada: Another Temple Defaced with Hateful Graffiti
14:47 23.07.2024 (Updated: 14:57 23.07.2024) There have been a series of incidents of vandalisation of Hindu temples in Canada. The recent incident was highlighted by Chandan Arya, Member of Parliament for Nepean.
Anti-social elements in Canada have once again vandalised a Hindu temple in Edmonton. The BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir was vandalised by Khalistani separatists, according to the Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA).
The CoHNA said that attentiobn to the incident was rised by Chandan Arya, Member of Parliament for Nepean, Ontario.
Expressing concerns over frequent cases of violence against Hindus in Canada, Arya said in a post on X that over the last few years, temples in Greater Toronto Area, British Columbia and other places in Canada are being vandalized with hateful graffiti.
“Gurpatwant Singh Pannun of Sikhs for Justice publicly called for Hindus to go back to India last year. Khalistan supporters openly celebrated in Brampton and Vancouver the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, and brandished images of deadly weapons,” he stated.
The expert further added that he has always been saying that Khalistani extremists seem to get away easily with their public rhetoric of hate and violence. He urged Canadian authorities to the issue seriously, "before the retoric gets translated into physical action" against the Hindu community.
The CoHNA said that attacks on places of worship, against individuals and organisations who speak up against
Hinduphobia in Canada, have made the community extremely concerned about their safety.
The latest attack on a Hindu temple in Canada mirrors similar incidents, which happened last year.
