MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian hopes to finalise the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty with Russia at the BRICS summit in Kazan, according to the presidential office.
Earlier in the day, Pezeshkian hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ashgabat.
"Expressing hope for accelerating the signing of the strategic partnership treaty between Iran and Russia, the president emphasised [the need] to develop cooperation and expressed hope for the finalisation of this agreement during [his] participation in the BRICS summit in Russia," the office quoted the president as saying.
