MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The command of the Sever (North) group of the Russian armed forces has reported to President Vladimir Putin about entering the final stage of the operation to regain control over the Kursk Region from the Ukrainian armed forces, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
"During his visit to one of the command posts in the Kursk Region, Putin listened to reports from the commander of the Sever group and the deputy commander of the Sever group, who reported to the supreme commander on the progress of the operation, as well as on the entry of the operation into the final stage of liberating the territory of the Kursk Region from the militants who had wedged themselves in there," Peskov said.
