NEW DELHI, May 7 (Sputnik) - At least 70 militants have been killed as a result of India's strikes on Pakistani territory, the NDTV broadcaster reported on Wednesday, citing a source.
Pakistani Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry earlier told the Geo TV broadcaster on Wednesday that At least 26 people were killed and 46 were injured as a result of India's military strikes on Pakistan's territory.
On Tuesday, the Indian Defence Ministry announced the launch of Operation Sindoor, which involved strikes on "terrorist infrastructure" in Pakistan in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The ministry said that no Pakistani military facilities were attacked during the operation. In turn, the Pakistani government said that India targeted five settlements in Pakistan, killing at least 26 people and injuring 46 others.
