Last week, Pakistan claimed that it had knocked out the guardian of India's sky, the S-400 aerial shield, at one of its military bases in North India, something the country's armed forces denied almost immediately.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday visited India's military base at Adampur in Punjab. The installation plays a crucial role in India's defence posture. It houses the widely acclaimed Russian-built S-400 air defence system, which received significant praise during Operation Sindoor. Over three nights of hostilities between the nuclear-armed neighbours, the S-400 effectively neutralised Pakistan's swarm drones and missiles.
Following his interaction with troops at Adampur, PM Modi posted pictures of his visit to the base. In one of the snaps shared by the Indian leader, he appears to be saluting the country's armed forces, but it is the background in the pic that is drawing special attention on social media.
In the background, the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system is quite visible, clearly and categorically busting Pakistan's claims about its demolition a few days ago.

Federal Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar called Modi's actions a "masterclass in fact-checking".
"One frame. Zero doubts. Lies demolished. S-400 standing tall right behind Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, the visuals from Adampur Air Base are patriotic, powerful - and the perfect reply to Pakistan’s delusions," he wrote on X after the pics went viral on the microblogging site.
"First ever image of two potent warheads in one frame," said Anantha Krishnan M, an investigative military analyst and a former spokesperson of the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), referring to Modi as the second "potent warhead".
"Pakistan said Adampur was destroyed — runway gone, S-400 hit, radar down, 60 killed, jets destroyed. They faked satellite images, claimed it was out for years. This morning, Narendra Modi walked into Adampur. The truth roared," another user declared.
