REC Boosts Financial Support for Exports to India
The volume of export transactions supported by the Russian Export Center (REC, part of VEB Group) in the Indian direction increased more than one and a half times over 10 months of 2025, according to an REC statement.
"Over 10 months of 2025, the volume of export transactions supported by the Russian Export Center through financial support measures in the Indian direction increased more than one and a half times, reaching 17.4 billion rubles. The total volume of foreign trade transactions concluded with REC support in January-October exceeded 43.5 billion rubles," the statement said.
Key industries that received support included the agro-industrial complex, metallurgical and chemical industries, as well as the forestry and engineering sectors.
The Russian Export Center (REC) has signed memorandums of understanding with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and the national agency Invest India. The agreements are designed to help Russian businesses find reliable partners in India, as well as to enhance support for Russian industrial projects in the Indian market.
"India is a strategically important partner for Russia, and we see enormous potential in deepening industrial cooperation," noted REC General Director Veronika Nikishina, as quoted in the statement.
