"During the past night, from 11:00 p.m. Moscow time [20:00 GMT] on December 28 to 7:00 a.m. Moscow time [04:00 GMT] on December 29, air defence alert systems intercepted and destroyed 89 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said in a statement.It said 49 drones were destroyed over the Bryansk Region, 18 over the Novgorod Region, 11 over the Republic of Adygea, and seven over the Krasnodar Region. One drone was intercepted over the Sea of Azov, while one each was downed over the Oryol, Rostov, and Smolensk regions.
