Global LNG Exports Will Grow by Almost 50% in Next 5-10 Years: Russian Deputy PM
Global LNG exports, led by China and India, is set to propel global LNG exports toward 600–650 million tonnes within a decade, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said.
LNG exports are projected to expand by nearly 50 percent over the next five to ten years, according to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, this growth will be driven predominantly by rising consumption in the Asia-Pacific region, where China and India are expected to play leading roles in shaping future trade flows.
"In the next 5-10 years global LNG exports may grow to 600-650 million tons, exceeding the level of 2025 by almost 50%. The main driver will be the Asia-Pacific countries, primarily China and India, which will account for up to 40% of global demand growth," Novak said in his article for the Energy Policy magazine.
In 2025 global
