The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is prepared to engage in combat if the United States, Israel or their allies resume aggression against Iran, an IRGC statement published on Friday read.
"If the deceitful enemy once again seeks to pursue its excessive demands and violate the rights of the Iranian people, the fighters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on land, at sea, in the air and across all arenas of hybrid warfare, drawing on the experience of numerous battles and acting on the slightest instruction from the courageous and wise commander, are ready to inflict an even more crushing historic defeat than before," the statement was quoted as saying by the IRNA news agency.
Overnight into June 18, Iran and the United States remotely signed the document that provides for an end to the military conflict that began on February 28.
The memorandum will give the two countries 60 days to negotiate a final deal on the Iranian nuclear issue and US sanctions. Additionally, it sets a timeline for the United States to lift its naval blockade, and for Iran to restore shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
