Ukraine's attack on an Iranian commercial vessel carrying civilian cargo in the Caspian Sea is an act of aggression that violates international law, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Tuesday.
"The attack by the Kiev regime on an Iranian commercial vessel sailing from Astrakhan with civilian cargo is an act of aggression that violates international law," Zakharova said in a statement.
These attacks indicate that a clear threat to the regional security of the Caspian countries is being created and show Ukraine's undeniable desire to expand the geography of its terrorist reach, Zakharova added.
