Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky became a butt of jokes on social media after one of his photographs clicked during the NATO summit in Lithuania's Vilnius showed him standing alone during a gathering of the military alliance's leaders and their partners.
However, what ignited the meme fest on Twitter was Zelensky's facial expression - he looked miffed and not too pleased with what was happening around him.
While the actor-turned-politician failed to get attention, other dignitaries could be seen conversing with each other on an open lawn at the site of the NATO summit.
Ironically, his wife Olena Zelenskaya too found an audience as she was seen interacting with a NATO delegate, but none of the NATO heads of state, including French President Emmanuel Macron who was standing not too far away from the 45-year-old politician appeared flustered about Zelensky not being given any kind of importance.

Netizens have been widely sharing the picture with one user on the microblogging site even asking if the moment reminded them of a "lost child in a fair".
US, European Nations Snub Zelensky
But this wasn't the only snub Zelensky received from the US and its Western allies in Vilnius, as NATO's joint declaration did not set a timeframe for Ukraine's formal induction into the American-led security alliance.
Even though NATO members assured Ukraine about a continued supply of weapons to bolster its armed forces in their fight against Russia, Zelensky was left disappointed as he hoped for a quick decision over Kiev's integration into the grouping.
But that decision now hangs on the conclusion of the conflict in Ukraine with Zelensky himself confirming that "the moment the war (special military operation) is over, Ukraine will definitely be invited to join NATO."
