The Taliban** has developed an extensive plan to limit the TTP's activities in Afghanistan, Pakistan's special envoy to the neighboring country, Asif Durrani, said on Friday.
The important development came a day after Durrani met the Taliban's foreign minister, Amir Muttaqi on Thursday. Besides, senior officials associated with the hardline movement's security forces took part in the meeting.
Durrani noted that he shared Islamabad's concerns on the matter, stressing that the Taliban regime should take action against TTP hideouts in Afghanistan to prevent the proscribed terrorist group from targeting Pakistani establishments from across the border.
"Both nations are also formulating a plan to enhance security measures along the border regions, which will be an ongoing effort," he added.
This was the second time Durrani arrived in Afghanistan following his previous visit to Kabul in July amid rising tensions between the two close allies.
Islamabad previously warned the Taliban of military action if Kabul failed to flush out anti-Pakistan militants from its soil.
The Taliban, however, repeatedly rubbished Pakistan's claims, asking the neighboring sovereign state to set its house in order instead of blaming Kabul for growing terrorist incidents there.
Pakistani investigators have blamed the TTP for several recent terrorist attacks in the nation, including the deadly suicide bombing of a Peshawar mosque in January this year, which killed over 100.
