On Sunday, Air India suspended operations of its flights to and from the Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, an airline official said.
"Our flights to and from Tel Aviv will remain suspended till 14th October 2023, for the safety of our passengers and crew," an Air India spokesperson stated in a statement.
The development comes a day after India issued an advisory to its nationals in Israel which came after the Jewish state announced a "state of war" following Hamas' large-scale attack on the Mediterranean nation.

Hamas-Israel Conflict Leaves Hundreds Dead

According to Israel's Defense Ministry, Hamas militants fired 5,000 rockets into the country before breaching border posts to enter its territory from several locations, especially from the southern parts of the nation.
This is among the bloodiest escalations between Israel and Hamas in decades, leaving more than 300 Israelis dead so far.
On the other hand, the death toll from Israel's counter-air strikes rose to 400 and injured 1,700 as per Palestinian officials.
Previously, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called it a "black day" for his country.
"The IDF (Israel Defense Force) is about to use all its force to destroy Hamas's capabilities. We'll strike them to the bitter end and avenge with force this black day they brought on Israel and its people," Netanyahu said in his first remarks following Hamas' surprise attack.

Modi Expresses Solidarity With Israel

Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack on Israel.
"Deeply shocked by the news of terrorist attacks in Israel. Our thoughts and prayers are with the innocent victims and their families. We stand in solidarity with Israel at this difficult hour," he said in a post on X, previously Twitter.
