The Indian Army and the UAE Armed Forces are presently participating in joint military exercises in Rajasthan, where they are refining their combat skills and marksmanship, as stated by the Indian Army.
"The Indian Army and UAE Land Forces troops are sharing best practices and honing their battle craft & shooting skills during the Joint Military Exercise Desert Cyclone-I in Rajasthan. The exercise is enhancing the interoperability & synergy between both Armies," the Indian Army reported.
The exercises, which commenced earlier this week, are planned to continue until January 15. The Indian Army had earlier highlighted that the combat exercises, named Desert Cyclone 2024, would "focus on counterterrorism operations".
Moreover, the exercise will facilitate the ground forces of the two nations in comprehending each other's tactics and collaborating during joint operations.
Notably, the inaugural exercise between the UAE and Indian militaries occurred in 2008, where the Air Forces of both nations collaborated in joint drills at the Al-Dhafra air base in Abu Dhabi.
