BrahMos Aerospace, an Indo-Russian joint venture, has received the 'EEPC India Platinum Award' from the Indian government, recognising its world-class and state-of-the-art product.
“We are deeply humbled, honoured and express our heartfelt gratitude to the @doc_goi, govt of India, @eepcindia and the jury members for selecting #Brahmos Aerospace Pvt Ltd (BAPL) for its world-class, state-of-the-art product “BrahMos” and bestowing us with the prestigious ‘EEPC India platinum award’ for being the ‘best in quality’ among Indian Defence companies”, the company posted on X (Former Twitter).
Globally acknowledged as the fastest cruise missile, the BrahMos missile boasts a remarkable speed of Mach 2.8, which is nearly three times the velocity of sound. Additionally, its versatility enables it to be deployed from various platforms, such as land, air, and sea. Currently, all three versions of the missile are operational within the Indian military.

The BrahMos cruise missile has garnered significant interest from countries in the Middle East and Africa. Their curiosity has been sparked by the missile's various versions, as these nations look to beef up their defence capabilities.
The collaboration between India and Russia in researching and developing cutting-edge technology, exemplified by the BrahMos missiles, has gained international acclaim.
As a testament to this recognition, the Philippines recently finalised a substantial agreement to procure these advanced missile systems.
Over the past five to six years, India has prioritised the development of indigenous defence manufacturing, with a focus on fulfilling the requirements of the Indian armed forces and enhancing the nation's defence exports.
