"Most Russian companies prefer to work through Sberbank when trading with India, which is reflected in the performance of the bank’s branch in India. In the first four months of 2024, the number of corporate client accounts opened with it increased by two-thirds, and compared to the same period last year – more than doubled," he stated.
"In the first quarter of 2024, about 60% of all payments for imports from India to Russia went through Sber, and our share in bilateral trade continues to grow. The average payment bill for legal entities... increased by 14% over the year,” he emphasised.
