Clips of Indian Army soldiers exhibiting hand-to-hand combat skills, or dancing to patriotic songs on snow-capped mountains have previously earned immense praise on the internet.
The Indian Army on Saturday shared a video of its soldiers honing their combat engineering skills in the mountainous terrain of the Jammu and Kashmir region.

"Sappers of Dhruva Command honing Combat Engineering Skills at Sappers Training Area for enhancing operational focus, professional capabilities and training standards to combat any challenges!" the Udhampur-based Northern Command of the Indian Army tweeted.
The Indian Army is the world's second-largest military force, with 1.3 million active personnel in its ranks. It regularly conducts such exercises, particularly on India's northwestern border close to Pakistan and the northeastern frontier adjoining China.

Last month, the force carried out a major exercise in Punjab; the state shares a 425 km long border with Pakistan.

According to the army, the exercise was "planned to validate the offensive capability of formations post rebalancing, test the efficacy of the latest inductions, upgraded weapons and equipment; and also test the enhanced force ratios accrued of forces on the entire Western Front as part of the proactive strategy."

The Army's military exercise in Punjab came after in recent months, Punjab has witnessed a growing menace of suspected Pakistani drones trying to enter Indian territory but alert soldiers of the Border Security Force (BSF) have shot a majority of them down, including one on Saturday morning.
