The declaration of the G-20 leaders' summit in New Delhi is "almost ready" and will be offered to the leaders for signing, Indian G-20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant said.
The 18th top-level G-20 summit, chaired by India, kicks off on Saturday in New Delhi.
The two-day international gathering will be the first of its kind to be held in India. Apart from the G-20 members, India has invited nine other countries, namely Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.
Heads of major international organizations, including United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, also received invitations from this year's chair.
Leaders of the world's major economies will discuss issues of global economic development, such as climate change and green transition, inclusive growth, digitalization, women's empowerment, among others. The possible inclusion of the African Union in the G-20 will also be a key issue at the summit. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping will skip the gathering. Instead, Russia will be represented by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and China by Premier Li Qiang.

G-20 final declaration's highlights:
• The G-20 acknowledges the divergence in views and assessments of the situation in Ukraine among member states in the final declaration;
• The G-20 firmly opposes the use of nuclear weapons or any related threats;
• G-20 leaders advocate for the reform of the World Trade Organization (WTO);
• G-20 leaders, in summit declaration, emphasize the paramount importance of "peaceful conflict resolution and dialogue";
• The G-20 leaders urge all nations to uphold the principles of international law, including "territorial integrity and sovereignty";
• The forthcoming G-20 summits are scheduled to take place in Brazil (2024), South Africa (2025), and the United States (2026).

Indian PM Modi addresses G-20 summit, here are the key points:
🟧 21st century is the time to show the world a new direction. Old global challenges are demanding new solutions;
🟧 We must follow a human-centric approach to resolve these challenges;
🟧 The COVID-19 pandemic has created a Global Trust Deficit. We defeated COVID-19, we can also overcome these differences;
🟧 Through G-20, we must strive to turn this deficit into a global understanding. It is time to work together;
🟧 The global understanding is needed to address economic turmoil, food and fertiliser security;
🟧 I am confident that the proposal to induct the African Union as a G-20 member has the all of the members' backing.
