The return of the PML-N leader to Pakistan has already sparked a political frenzy, as the nation gears up for early national elections next year.
Pakistan's former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who recently ended his four-year self-imposed exile and returned to his homeland, will appear before an accountability court and the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in two separate cases on Tuesday, following newly tightened measures imposed in the country.

PML-N supremo Sharif will first attend the hearing of the Toshakhana (treasury) reference in an accountability court at the Federal Judicial Complex (FJC) in Islamabad.

Later, Sharif will appear before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in connection with two corruption references filed against him.
He has approached the high court to seek bail in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia corruption cases.

Tight Security for Sharif's Visit

Ahead of former PM's arrival, tighter security is being put in place to prevent any untoward incident.
At the FJC, the bomb squad evacuated the courtroom and conducted a search for security reasons.
A heavy contingent of police has also been deployed inside and outside the complex. Only relevant lawyers and media were allowed to enter.
Meanwhile, on 19 October, the court suspended PML-N leader's permanent bail in the case. If Sharif fails to appear before the judge on Tuesday, the court's decision dictates that the arrest warrant against him will be reinstated.

Meanwhile, at the Islamabad High Court, Sharif is set to make an appearance and submit himself in a case filed against the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) reference.

The court has already granted protective bail to him until the date preventing his arrest in the case.
A hearing will be held to discuss the appeals against Sharif's conviction in the mentioned case, along with the Avenfield and Al-Azizia cases, local media reported.
