American Machinations Behind Terror Attack in Moscow: ex-State Dept Analyst

60 people were killed and over 100 injured after three gunmen went on a rampage at a concert hall in the Russian capital Moscow on Friday. While the US and its allies have denied any role in the attacks, a retired US army officer disagrees.
America's failure to share intelligence on Friday's terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall on the outskirts of Moscow raises suspicions of its involvement in the attacks, a US military veteran has said.
According to Scott Bennett, who previously served in the US Army as a psychological warfare officer and in the State Department as a counter-terrorism analyst, it's very clear that the recent attacks on the Moscow theatre in particular were most likely orchestrated, if not planned, with the assistance of the US State Department, the CIA, Britain's MI6 and Israel's Mossad.
He noted that the National Security Agency and the CIA have the technological means to listen to every conversation and track every phone call, text message, and email. Therefore, the NSA would have the information that could have been shared with Russia, if the US had nothing to do with it.
"However, they chose not to report any of this information to Russia, at the very least, or, at the very worst, the United States was complicit and potentially a very real active participant in this attack upon the Russian people. And I think the investigation will lead to that," Bennett told Sputnik on Saturday.
He reckoned that the Russian security services would be tracking down these individuals and leading them right back to their place of origin, which he suspected would be Ukraine.
"So even though the United States claims to have no participation and somehow claims that the Ukrainians had no participation, the United States is the only country that has been filling the Ukrainian mind with lies, distortion, and hatred, which is the fruit of those negative teachings yield these sort of terrorist attacks," the defense pundit opined.
Ukrainian Psychos Fueled Hatred Against Russia Over the Last Decade
In Bennett's understanding, even though the United States claims to have no responsibility, the United States still has absolute responsibility for generating the hatred, bloodlust and violence that has animated the Ukrainian psychopaths for at least the last 10 years.
But he believes this will also serve as an uplifting unifier for the Russian people, who will not back down or retreat. They will only commit themselves to a more direct determination to win this conflict and rid their country of these "fascist Nazi fanatics that NATO has been backing since 2014," Bennett said.
Moreover, one of the dangers of this is that the West may be actively trying to provoke Russia into a counter-strike so that the West can declare war on Russia. It could even develop into a situation where the West itself starts bombing its own theatres and doing things like that and blaming it on the Russians.
"I would not be surprised if the most insidious skullduggery is at the heart of this and the West is going to try and use this to generate a further war footing against Russia. So Russia cannot take the bait and it needs to move very methodically, slowly, and clandestinely in the investigation and ultimately the destruction of these terrorists," he concluded.
White House Statement on Attacks Garners Furious Response From Russian Foreign Ministry
It is worth noting that both the US and Ukraine have officially stated that they had 'nothing to do' with the attack in Moscow.
"There is no indication at this time that Ukraine, or Ukrainians, were involved in the shooting. I would disabuse you at this early hour of any connection to Ukraine," National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said in response to a question about the attacks in Moscow in Washington.
Despite the US denial, the Russian Foreign Ministry was quick to question the claims, with spokeswoman Maria Zakharova asking if there was any basis for the US statement.
"The White House said it sees no indication that Ukraine or Ukrainians were involved in the terrorist attack in Moscow. On what basis do officials in Washington draw any conclusions in the midst of the tragedy about anyone's involvement? If the United States has or had reliable information on this matter, it must be immediately handed over to the Russian side," Zakharova posted on X.
