Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday urged Singapore's High Commissioner to Pakistan to focus on enhancing bilateral trade and business ties with Singaporean companies.He emphasised the importance of encouraging Singaporean companies to take advantage of Pakistan's investment-friendly policies.He suggested that Pakistan could potentially serve as a reliable source of food supplies for Singapore by exporting processed foods such as poultry, meat, seafood, and others.President Zardari congratulated Rabia Shafiq on her appointment as Pakistan's High Commissioner and wished her a fruitful and successful tenure in Singapore.On the other hand, Pakistan had significant net trade with Singapore in 2022, particularly in exports of mineral products ($77.1 million), textiles ($28.9 million) and food ($9.49 million).
