TEHRAN (Sputnik) – Iran and Pakistan believe that Israel has ties to terrorist groups in the Middle East, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Thursday.
"Iran and Pakistan believe that there is a firm connection between terrorist groups and the Israeli regime, which is backed by simultaneous attacks both from Israel and from [Iran- and Pakistan-based] terrorist groups. We have made a decision to facilitate our fights against those groups," the Fars News Agency quoted Araghchi as saying.
The minister cited attacks by Sunni jihadist organisation Jaish al-Adl* (Army of Justice). The last attack by the group took place in late October and killed at least 10 people.
Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province, bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan, often sees deaths of border guards who fight drug trafficking and terrorism. The situation is aggravated by difficult economic and environmental conditions.
