Clashes have resumed on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border after airstrikes last week.
The Afghan Army has launched new strikes on Pakistani military posts along the border on Friday, according to the Afghan News agency Bakhtar.
Pakistan undertook military action in Afghanistan's Paktia province, the Ariana News channel reported.
Meanwhile, dozens of troops from both sides have been killed in the latest military confrontation between Afghanistan and Pakistan, with Kabul and Islamabad providing differing accounts of casualties on Thursday and early Friday.

Pakistan reported that 133 Afghan soldiers were killed in its operations, while the Taliban acknowledged that 55 Pakistani troops were killed.
The escalation followed Taliban attacks on Pakistani border positions, which Kabul's current authorities said were in response to Pakistani airstrikes in Afghanistan last week.
In a reciprocal action, Pakistan carried out airstrikes on Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia on Friday.
Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif described the situation as "open war" on the Taliban forces, stating on X that the operation 'Ghazab Lil Haq' had been launched against Afghanistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the military to respond decisively, stating that Pakistan’s forces had the capability to address any aggressive actions.
The Taliban’s chief spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said Afghan forces had renewed attacks on Pakistani positions following the airstrikes on Kabul, Kandahar, and other provinces.
