A fragile ceasefire that currently exists between Iran and the US could be manipulated because of the lack of apparent trust between the two parties, an expert has said.Notably, hours after the ceasefire agreement was announced, Israel, which was directly involved in the military campaign against Iran alongside the US, declared that Lebanon wasn't a part of the deal that the US had struck with the Islamic Republic. Israel carried out its largest aerial campaign in Lebanon, leaving hundreds dead on Wednesday. On the other hand, Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stressed that the ceasefire proposal included the entire "Axis of Resistance", including Lebanon, underlining that Israeli strikes on Lebanon were a violation of the truce.Lebanon is very important, as it shares a border with Israel and Hezbollah is located in the country.Furthermore, Lebanon is equally significant for Iran because of the strategic depth that Hezbollah provides to Iran.At this juncture, there are enormous doubts about the possibility that the terms and agreements that the two parties may finalise would actually materialise on the ground or not. Therefore, a great conclusion to this ceasefire isn't expected, the observer summed up.

US-Iran Ceasefire: Why Lebanon Has Become a Key Stumbling Block?
Negotiators from the US and Iran are scheduled to meet on Saturday in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad, which emerged as a key mediator between the two sides.
A
fragile ceasefire that currently exists between Iran and the US could be manipulated because of the lack of apparent trust between the two parties, an expert has said.
Notably, hours after the ceasefire agreement was announced, Israel, which
was directly involved in the military campaign against Iran alongside the US, declared that Lebanon wasn't a part of the deal that the US had struck with the Islamic Republic.
Israel carried out its largest aerial campaign in Lebanon, leaving hundreds dead on Wednesday.
"I wish to inform you: There is no ceasefire in Lebanon," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on social media before adding that the country's defence forces were "continuing to strike Hezbollah with full force."
On the other hand, Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stressed that the ceasefire proposal included the entire "Axis of Resistance", including Lebanon, underlining that Israeli strikes on Lebanon were a violation of the truce.
"The two-week ceasefire announcement that was made by US President Donald Trump was always very open-ended. There were very strong chances from the very beginning that the terms and conditions of this agreement would be manipulated and may be used by the two parties according to their own benefit," Dr Pavan Chaurasia, a research fellow at the New Delhi-based India Foundation, told Sputnik India.
Lebanon is very important, as it shares a border with Israel and Hezbollah is located in the country.
Furthermore, Lebanon is equally significant for Iran because of the strategic depth that Hezbollah provides to Iran.
At this juncture, there are enormous doubts about the possibility that the terms and agreements that the two parties may finalise would actually materialise on the ground or not. Therefore, a great conclusion to this ceasefire isn't expected, the observer summed up.
