The federal government will hold an all-party meeting on Monday (17 September), a day before it will hold a five-day special session of Parliament.Media speculations suggest that the government could seize the opportunity of the G-20 summit to showcase its accomplishments and lay the groundwork for the parliament-20 summit. Another possibility being discussed is the official proposal to change the country's name from India to Bharat.Meanwhile, the opposition members have criticized the government for not disclosing the session's agenda.In a tweet, former union minister and Congress politician Jairam Ramesh also shared all the occasions when the government called special sessions with agendas.Another parliamentarian, Derek O’Brien, taking a dig at the federally ruling government, said there is still no word on the agenda of Parliament's special session."Two working days to go before the Special Parliament Session begins, and still not a word on the agenda. Only two people know! And we still call ourselves a parliamentary democracy," Brien wrote on X.

The Indian government has called for a special session of parliament, which will be held from 18 to 22 September, the agenda remains unrevealed.
The federal government will hold an all-party meeting on Monday (17 September), a day before it will hold a five-day special session of Parliament.
"Ahead of the Parliament session from the 18th of this month, an all-party floor leaders meeting has been convened on the 17th at 4.30 PM. The invitation for the same has been sent to concerned leaders through email. Letter to follow," Union Minister Pralhad Joshi posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Media speculations suggest that the government could seize the opportunity of the G-20 summit to
showcase its accomplishments and lay the groundwork for the parliament-20 summit. Another possibility being discussed is the official proposal to change the country's name from India to Bharat.
Meanwhile, the
opposition members have criticized the government for not disclosing the session's agenda.
