India managed a total score of 216 runs with the help of a 'half-century' by Sachin Tendulkar, 46 runs by Ajay Jadeja and a 'quick fire' 35 runs from Kapil Dev.With a target of 217 runs, Pakistan was bowled out for 173. However, Pakistani batsmen Aamer Sohail and Javed Miandad who made 62 and 40 respectively resisted the team’s defenestration.This match is famous for the fight which broke out between Indian wicketkeeper Kiran More and Miandad. It started with More appealing excessively against Miandad who initially ignored the tactic but then retaliated by mocking the wicket keeper.Initially, Miandad complained to the umpire about More's trying to distract him by appealing so often but when this didn’t work, Miandad mocked More by jumping angrily at the batting crease.The video of the incident is still watched by cricket fans all over the world.Venkatesh Prasad Sends Aamer Sohail Back to PavilionAnother intense moment between the two teams which has gone down in cricketing history occurred during their second encounter in the World Cup in 1996 when Indian fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad and Pakistani batsman Aamer Sohail were involved in a heated moment.In the match played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, India scored 287 runs with the help of Navjot Singh Sidhu’s 93 and a quick fire 25-ball 45 runs. Pakistan managed to score only 248 runs.The heated moment between Prasad and Sohail came during the 15th over of the game when the Pakistani batsman hit a four off a ball bowled by Prasad. Sohail pointed at the bowler with his bat and said that he would do that again.However, Sohail was in for an uncomfortable bit of karma and with the very next ball, the Indian bowler dismissed him by bowling him out and caused him to be sent off angrily.Ugly Scenes Between Shahid Afridi and Gautam GambhirThe third time players of both teams were involved in a spirited exchange of views on the field was in 2007 when Pakistan was in India for a series.In the third game of the five-match Test series played at Green Park stadium in Kanpur, India defeated Pakistan by 46 runs as India scored 294 runs and bowled the tourists out for 248.Ugly scenes were witnessed during the 20th over when Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir smashed Pakistani bowler Shahid Afridi for a boundary and exchanged words.
