Pakistan’s eighth tranche humanitarian aid package to Gaza, weighing 400 tons, includes winterized tents, tarpaulins, blankets, medicines, and food supplies, which were transported by sea.
Pakistan has sent the eighth tranche of humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on Sunday.

“The shipment will be received by the Pakistani Ambassador at Port Said, Egypt and handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent for onward delivery to the people of Gaza. Pakistan remains committed to addressing the urgent humanitarian needs of our brothers and sisters in Gaza”, he shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Previously, Pakistan urged the UN Security Council (UNSC) to take effective measures to guarantee the full implementation of its resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Pakistani Ambassador Munir Akram, addressing the General Assembly, emphasized the need for the 15-member council to enforce an immediate halt to the export of weapons and ammunition to Israel, as agreed upon at the Arab-OIC summit in Riyadh.
He held Israel accountable for its actions against the Palestinian population in Gaza.

“It is worth noting that Pakistan stands firmly behind the Palestinian people and strongly denounces Israel's use of force, particularly against civilians, including women and children, in Gaza”, he noted.

Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the ex-foreign minister, reiterated “unwavering support” for the Palestinian people.

“Israel’s actions in Gaza have created a history of atrocities that have shamed humanity. The Pakistani nation stands united on the issue of Palestine, and our hearts beat with the Palestinians”, the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chairman said in a statement issued at Bilawal House.

Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of 37 Palestinians and injuries to 68 others in the last 24 hours, according to Palestinian health authorities.
