Seven Indian delegations comprising around 40 Members of Parliament (MPs) from various political parties and former diplomats are visiting 33 countries to lobby global support for India's fight against cross-border terror following Operation Sindoor, launched to avenge the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
The delegations led by Indian parliamentarians will show "dossiers" to highlight the cross-border terror nexus between Pakistan Army and terrorist groups to the host governments, most of them permanent and rotating non-permanent members of the UN Security Council (UNSC), sources told Sputnik India on Thursday.

Sources confirmed that one of the main objectives of the Indian delegations was to lobby support to designate The Resistance Front (TRF)*, a front for banned terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)** as a global terrorist group. The TRF claimed responsibility for the Pahalagam terrorist attack on 22 April, which left 25 Indians and one Nepalese citizen dead.

As reported by Sputnik India on 15 May, Indian officials have already presented evidence against TRF to the UN Security Council’s (UNSC) 1267 Sanctions Committee during a visit to New York last week.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said earlier this month that India's effort to get TRF named in the UNSC statement (on 25 April) condemning the Pahalgam attack had been blocked by Pakistan, currently a non-permanent member of UNSC.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal told the weekly briefing in New Delhi on Thursday that the seven delegations are on a "political mission".
"We want to make a stronger outreach to the world to convey our resolve to fight terrorism. We want the world to come together to fight terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. We want to exhort the world to hold those responsible for cross-border terrorism accountable," Jaiswal said.
Those have been practising it for the last 40 years against India, that is, Pakistan. Their actions need to be called out. They have to be held accountable for the terror attacks that they have carried out against India, the MEA Spokesperson added.
Jaiswal highlighted that the 33 countries chosen by the Indian government are India's "strong international partners".
"We have very good relations with them. Many of them are members of the Security Council or will be a part of the Security Council in the coming days. Keeping all these things in mind, it was necessary that we go to these countries so that we can explain India's message on terrorism," the MEA Spokesperson said.
Jaiswal informed that three delegations have already left for their destinations, including one leaving for Russia, Greece, Spain, Latvia and Slovenia on Thursday morning.
Another Indian delegation, led by MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, met the Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya in Tokyo on Thursday.
The Indian delegation told Japanese government that India responded to the Pahalgam terror attack in a "precise, targeted, proportionate and non-escalatory manner", according to a readout by the Indian Embassy in Japan.
Further, Jha said that India has "zero tolerance for terrorism" and that it "does not differentiate between terrorists and those supporting them", it said.
The Indian delegation also stressed the "need to hold perpetrators, organisers, financiers and sponsors" of the Pahalgam terror attack to justice, as highlighted in the UNSC Statement on 25 April.
The same message is expected to be conveyed to other governments hosting the Indian delegations.
