Following the deadly bombings in Iran's Kerman that killed nearly a hundred in the Shia-majority country earlier this month, a lot of social media chatter centered around Israel's alleged close association with Daesh.
After Daesh claimed responsibility for the attack in Kerman, several X users, including some geopolitical pundits from the Arab world pointed out that the Sunni Jihadist group has never targeted Israel and has never issued any statement threatening the Jewish state.
Daesh's Relationship of Hate With Shia-Muslims
Furthermore, Daesh aspires to form a hardline Islamic caliphate based on hardline Sunni law.
It is worth noting that Sunni Islam has a different set of rituals and beliefs to Shia Muslims.
In the case of Daesh, the jihadists belonging to the terrorist organization do not even consider Shias as Muslims, possibly making them as soft targets in nations like Iraq, and Iran, where they are in majority.
But do Israel and Daesh have anything in common?
Daesh Carrying Out Israel's Orders, Iranian Expert Believes
During its activities, the terrorist organization may need support from different countries with a wide range of political views. Sometimes even countries with clear political differences may support a specific terrorist group for their interests, believes Farzin Zandi, a Tehran-based geopolitics analyst, specializing in Iran's Gray Zone Strategy.
"ISIS also behaves in the same way; it may execute the orders of a specific country every time and get its desired interest," the strategic affairs pundit told Sputnik India on Monday.
On the other hand, Zandi suggested that considering Turkey and Qatar have both been accused of abetting Daesh in the past and the interests of these two countries are aligned with Israel, it is not unlikely that Israel also supports ISIS.
"Therefore, it can probably be concluded that ISIS is carrying out Israel's orders due to Tel Aviv's support, especially in the period when ISIS is not in a good condition and is in a state of reorganization after its fall," Zandi maintained.
He affirmed that it was clear that a global power like the United States exploits all possible means to realize its geopolitical interests and consolidate its desired international order.

Iran Uses Same Strategy to Deal With US, Israel
Since Iran considers the activities of the US and Israel in the Middle East to be aligned and common, it will use the same strategy to deal with them, Zandi suggested.
"It is clear that after Iran's Islamic Revolution, the Islamic Republic government embarked on its new regional activity by supporting non-state actors and some local groups," the international relations specialist stated.
Zandi reckoned that by "establishment", "organizing" and "supporting" proxy groups, Iran tried to expand its geopolitical sphere of influence in the countries of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, and even Bahrain.
He noted that this strategy strengthened and accelerated Iran's geopolitical proximity to Palestine as well as its geopolitical territorialization and also fulfilled Tehran's long-standing desire to increase its strategic depth and direct access to Israel's borders.
Israel Will Continue Its Sabotage Activities in Iran
Zandi opined that in response to Iran's increased presence near Israel's borders and Iran's greater support for Lebanese and Palestinian groups, Israel reciprocally utilized a similar approach.
He explained that since Israel lacks specific proxy groups in the region (which Iran makes good use of), this country relies on a variety of individuals, disorganized groups, and even terrorist groups to carry out subversive actions against Iran.
"Based on this perspective, the possibility of Israel supporting ISIS in terrorist operations in Kerman is not out of mind. Because Israel has tried to use all the available tools in the 'Gray Warfare' with Iran. Especially after the recent attack of Hamas on Israel, Tel Aviv has risen in a more merciless way against Tehran," Zandi expressed.
It seems that Israel's mentality, which always considers Iran to be the main driver of the activities of Palestinian groups supported by Tehran, will cause Israel to intensify its sabotage inside Iran and even provoke the United States to take a firmer approach towards the country, he summed up.
