In a fresh episode of friction between Kabul and Islamabad, the Taliban* has accused Pakistani nationals of being involved in conducting attacks inside Afghanistan.According to Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, the Islamic movement's Defence Minister in Kabul, the Afghan security forces have arrested dozens of Pakistani nationals besides killing a handful of them for orchestrating attacks in the Central Asian country.In addition to Pakistani citizens, Mujahid revealed that fighters from Tajikistan have also attacked Afghan security forces and civilians.Mujahid's claims, particularly against former ally Pakistan come at a time when relations between the two Asian nations have hit their lowest.This came after Pakistan urged the Taliban to act against the banned terrorist group Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan's (TTP**) hideouts in Afghanistan.The Pakistani security agencies blame the TTP for carrying out a series of attacks inside the South Asian sovereign state, including a deadly suicide bombing of a mosque in Peshawar city that killed over a hundred last year.The Taliban, however, dismissed Pakistan's allegations and instead urged the administration in Islamabad to keep their house in order and not blame Kabul for attacks in the neighboring country.*The Taliban is under UN sanctions for extremism.**A terrorist organization banned in Russia and India.

Taliban Accuses Pakistani Nationals Of Carrying Out Attacks in Afghanistan
As of late, accusations and counter-accusations have become a norm between Pakistan and Afghanistan, with the latter hurling another allegation on the former on the last day of 2023.
In a fresh episode of friction between Kabul and Islamabad, the Taliban* has accused Pakistani nationals of being involved in conducting attacks inside Afghanistan.
According to
Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, the Islamic movement's Defence Minister in Kabul, the Afghan security forces have arrested dozens of Pakistani nationals besides killing a handful of them
for orchestrating attacks in the Central Asian country.
"Pakistani citizens have been involved in organizing many attacks. More than twenty Pakistani citizens have been killed in the operations of our security forces, and dozens of others have been arrested," Mujahid told reporters on New Year's Eve in the Afghan capital.
In addition to Pakistani citizens, Mujahid revealed that fighters from Tajikistan have also attacked Afghan security forces and civilians.
"After the Islamic Emirate came into power, the attacks on mosques, monasteries, religious scholars and public gatherings were all carried out by foreigners, especially the citizens of Tajikistan. Dozens of Tajikistan citizens have been killed in our operations and dozens of others have been arrested," the Islamic Emirate's acting Defence Minister added.
Mujahid's claims, particularly against former ally Pakistan come at a time when relations between the two Asian nations
have hit their lowest.
