Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a massive drone and missile attack on Israel on Sunday in retaliation for the Israeli strike on the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Syria, on 1 April.
Iran only targeted military sites in its attack on Israel, Iran’s Press TV broadcaster said on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, the IRGC said that the attack on Israel was successful.
On Sunday, The New York Times reported, citing two Israeli officials, that Iran launched 185 drones, 36 cruise missiles, and 110 surface-to-surface missiles. Israeli media reported that the country had intercepted 99% of the drones and missiles fired by Iran, and was preparing a decisive response.

Iran to Launch More Massive Operation in Case Israel Takes Countermeasures
"We believe that this operation has fully achieved the result, so we consider it to be completed and are not planning to continue it, however, if Israel takes any steps against the Islamic Republic [of Iran], no matter if it happens on our territory or the centers that belong to us in Syria and other areas, our next operation will be much more massive," Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri said on Sunday.
